…The “Sonata” of 1979, a piece that has been strangely forgotten by guitarists. Here Farkas makes use of free serial structures in the initial Allegro and moves on to a true dodecaphonic idiom only in the second movement (Dialogo), whilst in the Rondo finale a continuous chromatic movement directs our attention towards typically instrumental structures.

…La « Sonata » del 1979, brano stranamente dimenticato dai chitarristi. Qui Farkas utilizza strutture seriali libere nell' allegro iniziale per approdare ad un vero linguaggio dodecafonico solo nel secondo tempo (dialogo), mentre nel rondò finale un continuo movimento cromatico riporta l' attenzione verso strutture tipicamente strumentali.
