The Gitar-Dalok, composed in 1983, is a collection of Hungarian songs, which merits attention both on account of its excellent textual content and the singular beauty of its melodic lines; the music's focus is clearly ethnic, even if it is composed in a refined manner, which uses the ascendant in a way that is almost reminiscent of Bartok, particularly in his use of fourths.
