As you like it for violin, viola and harp

Ferenc Farkas wrote more than forty incidental musics for the radio and the theatre and his music accompanied among others seven pieces by Shakespeare. From the music he wrote to "As you like it" which was represented at the National Theater in 1937 he pulled out two years later a suite "in old style" for violin, viola and harp and then for two violins and viola in five movements: Petite ouverture,  Chanson I - Chanson II, Intermezzo, Madrigal.

Ferenc Farkas schrieb viel Bühnenmusik für das Radio und für das Theater und seine Musik begleitete insbesondere sieben Stücke von Shakespeare. Von jener, die er für „As you like it“, anläßlich seiner Darstellung am Nationaltheater in 1937, zog er zwei Jahre später eine Suite „im alten Stil“ für Geige, Bratsche und Harfe, dann für zwei Geigen und Harfe in fünf Sätze: Petite ouverture, Chanson I - Chanson II, Intermezzo, Madrigal.

Ferenc Farkas écrivit plus de quarante musiques de scène pour la radio et pour le théâtre et sa musique accompagna notamment sept pièces de Shakespeare. De celle qu’il composa pour « As you like it » à l’occasion de sa représentation au Théâtre national en 1937 il tira deux ans plus tard une suite « dans le style ancien » pour violon, alto et harpe puis pour deux violons et harpe en cinq mouvements : Petite ouverture, Chanson I - Chanson II, Intermezzo, Madrigal.

A hárfát mint pompás kamarazenei hangszert szólaltatja meg két másik sorozat is, mindkettő egy-egy Shakespeare-kísérőzenével hozható kapcsolatba. Farkas az Ahogy tetszik 1937-es nemzeti színházi előadásához komponált színpadi kísérőzenéjéből két évvel később öt tételes szvitet készített hegedűre, brácsára és hárfára (Ahogy tetszik. Szvit régi stílusban).
