…In 1934 Farkas collected folk music at Szabàs in county Somogy, and while still there sketched his orchestral composition “Capriccio all’ungherese”. He arranged nine melodies into five short movements, following the classical forms of variation, rondo and sonata form without development. After several revisions the premiere took place in 1939, performed by the Municipal Orchestra.

…1934 sammelte er im Komitat Somogy, in der Gemeinde Szabàs, und noch an Ort und Stelle skizzierte er seine Orchesterkomposition „Capriccio all' Ungherese“. Neun Melodien verarbeitet er in fünf kurzen Sätzen, die formell den klassischen Mustern (Variation, Rondo und Sonate ohne Durchführung) folgen. Die Uraufführung fand nach mehrfachen Überarbeitungen l939 in einem Konzert des Hauptsädtischen Orchesters statt.

…En 1934, Farkas se rendit à Szabàs, dans le département de Somogy, et c'est là qu'il ébaucha les premières esquisses du « Capriccio all'ungherese » pour orchestre: Neuf mélodies, réparties en cinq mouvements brefs qui, au niveau de la forme, suivent le modèle classique (variation, rondeau, et sonate sans développement). C'est après plusieurs transformations que l'œuvre fut créée en 1939.

felvàzolta „Magyar capriccio” (Capriccio all' ungherese) cìmű zenekari kompozíciòjàt. Kilenc dallamot dolgozott fel öt rövid tételben, amelyek formailag a klasszikus mintàkat követik (variàciò, rondò és kidolgozàs nélküli szonàta). A bemutatòra többszöri átdolgozás utàn, 1939-ben került sor a Székesfövárosi Zenekar hangversenyén.
